The Lake Charles Police Departments’ Community Policing Division will be taking part in this year’s Drug Take Back Day.

Most abused prescription drugs come from family and friends.   Unused or expired prescription medications are a public safety issue, leading to accidental poisoning, overdose and abuse.

Lake Charles Police Officers will be at the Lake Charles Civic Center to dispose of any expired or unused medications.
