Officers attempted to serve the warrants earlier in the warrants at 3:30 a.m. but the ran between apartment buildings and was not apprehended at that time.

Hours later, the officers tried again. Upon reaching the residence, the officers noticed the door was open and several broken windows.

Geral was found hiding in an upstairs bedroom closet according to police reports.

Geral attempted to escape by striking and kicking at the officers who had to use a taser gun to subdue the man.

Geral was taken into custody for two outstanding sexual assault warrants and also charged with resisting arrest.
