Sleeping man arrested for possession of a controlled substance

ORANGE — A suspicious vehicle at Pilot Truck Stop, 2205 State Hwy. 62 in Orange, resulted in a man being charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Richard Meyers, 25, of Orange, was found sleeping on the floor of a Chevrolet van, at approximately 2: 15 a.m. Wednesday, when Orange Police officers investigated a suspicious vehicle. Next to the man was a plastic baggie identifying the substance inside as Big Bang.
One of the officers believed the substance to be synthetic marijuana.
The substance weighed .2 ounces.
Meyers was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
The investigation is ongoing.
