ORANGE — A man was assaulted at his residence at approximately 3:30 a.m. Thursday at the 1100 block of Dupont Drive.

The man was covered with mud and sitting in the front porch when police officers arrived.

The man also had injuries to his head area according to an Orange Police Department report.

The man was transported to Baptist Hospital Orange by ambulance.

The investigation is ongoing.
