BEAUMONT, Texas – Tickets for Lamar University’s football game at Baylor
Saturday, Sept. 12th will go on sale through the LU Ticket Office Wednesday.
Tickets for the game which will be played at Baylor’s McLane Stadium are
$45, and will be available for pickup beginning Wednesday morning.
Fans can order tickets for the game by calling the LU Ticket Office at (409)
880-1715, or by logging onto the athletics website at
www.LamarCardinals.com. Walk-ups are also accepted at the ticket office
which is located in the Montagne Center on the west side of the building.
Tickets must be picked up prior to Thursday, Aug. 20th. The ticket office is
open Monday – Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The LU Ticket Office is not
responsible for lost, stolen or damaged tickets.
The Cardinals game at Baylor will be LU’s first trip inside McLane Stadium,
and just the fourth meeting ever between the two schools. The last time LU
squared off against Baylor, Big Red recorded a stunning 18-17 upset of the
Bears (1981).
Both teams enter the 2015 season coming off two of the best seasons in
school history. The Cardinals tied a record for wins last year, while Baylor
advanced to the Cotton Bowl with a No. 5 national ranking.
LU returns 20 starters, including all-time receptions leader Reggie
Begelton, from an offense that was ranked among the national leaders in
passing, scoring and total offense a year ago. The Cards kick off the 2015
slate Saturday, Sept. 5, against Bacone College. The game against Bacone is
just one of five home games for Big Red this year.
