Two arrested for drugs, unlawful possession of a firearm

On Wednesday, June 10, 2015, around 2:10 AM, Narcotics Investigators with the Orange
County Sheriff’s Office observed a silver minivan commit several traffic violations in the area of
Interstate 10 South Service Road in Vidor, Texas.  Investigators stopped the vehicle east of the
Rose City Travel Plaza.

During the traffic stop, a 33 year old white male identified as Christopher Allen Thompson of
Sulphur, Louisiana, was found to have an outstanding Parole Warrant out of Louisiana.
Thompson was placed under arrest for the Parole Warrant.  During his arrest, a search of the
vehicle was conducted and Thompson was found to be in possession of two semi-automatic
pistols, 50 rounds of ammunition, and approximately 80 Grams of methamphetamine.

Thompson was also charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a convicted felon, a 3rd
Degree Felony, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. The drug possession charge was
enhanced to a 1st degree Felony due to prior convictions.  A 37 year old white female from
Cameron, Louisiana, identified as Raedella Peloquin, was also arrested and charged with
Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Both were transported to the Orange County Jail and
booked.

Thompson remains in custody for the Louisiana Parole Warrant with no bond.  A bond
totaling $170,000 was set after his arraignment on the additional charges.  Peloquin also remains
in custody with a bond totaling $100,000.
