HOUSTON —

Flags and flowers have been put on display at Reliant Stadium in memory of four Houston firefighters killed battling a hotel blaze.

Dozens of firetrucks and other emergency vehicles had their lights flashing as they filed into the parking lot before Wednesday's service. Many arriving firefighters wore their dress uniforms and had black tape across their badges.

Friday's blaze trapped four firefighters as the hotel structure collapsed.

Two firetrucks with extended ladders displayed a giant U.S. flag inside the stadium, home to the NFL's Houston Texans. Numerous flower wreaths helped decorate near the stage. Video screens showed photos of the four fallen firefighters.

Thousands of mourners were expected at the stadium that seats more than 71,000.
