15 cattle found shot in the head in Vidor

VIDOR — A cattle owner reported to Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies Monday 15 cattle had been shot in the head.

The caretaker reported the cattle had been shot with an unknown weapon during the night and all the deceased cows were females and several were baby calves.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the incident happened in the 14000 block of Mansfield Ferry Road in south Vidor.

The cost of the deceased animals has not been determined and investigators are following up on several leads in the case. Anyone with information can call (409)883-2612.
