The Orange Leader
Henry "Buck" Fletcher, longtime resident of Orange, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2013, of a heart attack.
A retired navy chief and veteran of two wars, he received a Bronze Star with Valor in Vietnam, among other medals. He leaves behind his wife Mitsuko (Mitzy) of 61 years, and his children, Kathleen Fletcher Standridge of Florida, Bobbie Felix of California, Donna Schmidt of Virginia, Henry Fletcher of Orange, and Una Fletcher of Washington, D.C. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and his brother, Aaron "Buddy" Fletcher of Longview, Texas. He is predeceased by his parents Henry Olan and Una Murphy Fletcher of Carthage, TX. He will be buried with military honors at Arlington National Cemetery.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on March 23, 2013, at JB's BBQ on Bus. 90, in Orange.
