Joda Lewis Atchley, 55, of Orange passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Methodist Hospital in Houston.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Orange; born on January 1, 1958 to parents Joan Virginia (Stewart) and Harold Atchley. He was employed with Local #587 as a boilermaker/welder. He loved the outdoors, going camping, boating, motorcycling and fishing. He enjoyed all kind of racing; cars, motorcycles and boats. Joda was a hard working man; who loved his family dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Atchley; grandmother, Audrey “Dee Dee’ Stewart.
He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Atchley Bush of Orange; son, Jason D. Atchley of Orange; mother, Joan V. Atchley of Orange; sister, Cheyanne Atchley of Austin; his childrens mother, Janet K. Atchley of Orange; grandchildren, Jason M. Atchley, Jeremy D. Bush, Makena Atchley, Mya Bush.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 6 PM at Dorman Funeral Home, with a gathering of family and friends from 4 pm until service time. Cremation was held under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent for the family at http://www.dormanfuneralhome.com/.
