Shooting in Vidor

VIDOR — On Thursday January 31, 2013 at approximately 1:15AM the Orange County Sheriff’s Office received a call concerning a shooting in the 2900 block of FM 1131 in Vidor.         

Upon arrival Deputies found a W/M with a gunshot wound to his face. The gunshot victim was identified as DARIUS LACOMBE, W/M, a 50 year old Vidor resident.  Lacombe was transported to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont by Air Ambulance. 

Investigators determined that the incident occurred inside a residence in the 2900 block of FM 1131.  According to witnesses, the victim was shot in the face for an unknown reason.  The suspect has been identified as BRYAN ALLEN DUHON, W/M, a 26 year old Buna resident.  Duhon fled the scene prior to Deputies arrival.  

The victim underwent surgery and is currently in Critical but Stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital.  Investigators have not been able to speak to the victim due to his current condition.  

 

The suspect was located by Orange County Sheriff’s Deputies with the assistance of the US Marshalls Service.  Bryan Allen Duhon was arrested for 2 outstanding Orange County warrants for Probation Violation and Motion to Impose Guilt.  Duhon was transported to the Orange County Correctional Facility and bond has been denied due to the outstanding Probation Violation warrants.  

This investigation is ongoing.
