Closings ahead for Monday and Veterans Day

ORANGE — Monday is Veterans Day and that means many businesses and governmental agencies will be closed for an extended weekend.

Veterans Day is Monday, Nov. 11, and most non-essential city, state and federal offices and institutions will be closed in observance of the holiday.

All non-essential offices in the Cities of Orange, West Orange, Pinehurst, Bridge City, Vidor, Rose City and Pine Forest will be closed Monday. Regular city business will resume at normal hours on Tuesday, Nov. 12.

Garbage services will run as normally scheduled for all cities.

All non-essential Orange County and State of Texas offices will be closed on Monday in observance of Labor Day as well. Financial institutions such as Compass Bank, MCT Credit Union, Sabine Federal Credit Union, First Financial and others will be closed too.

The U.S. Postal Service will observe the Labor Day holiday on Monday and there will be no delivery. Mail delivery and collection will resume on Tuesday as normal.
