HAMSHIRE — Riding the arm of pitcher Aidan Anderson, the West Orange-Stark Mustangs took down the Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns 3-0 in eight grueling innings in the District 21-3A opener for both teams Tuesday night at Longhorn Field.

The Longhorn bats had no answer for Anderson.

Anderson allowed just three hits and struck out 13 Longhorn batters to get the complete-game, eight-inning victory.

The Mustangs (12-1, 1-0) manufactured eight hits off H-F pitching.

In the top of the seventh, Jacob Hryhorchuk came up with a huge RBI single and the Mustangs added two more runs on an error and a groundout.

Hryhorchuk had two hits for the Mustangs and Eric Guillory also had two hits.

WO-S will look to continue its winning ways Friday when they host Hardin-Jefferson.
