Oak Ridge Boys return to area for spring show

VINTON, La. — Legendary country music act The Oak Ridge Boys will bring its distinctive sound to Southwest Louisiana this spring.

The Oak Ridge Boys will perform at 7 p.m., Saturday, April 5, inside the Delta Downs Event Center in Vinton, La. for ages 21 and older. Tickets are $35 - $45 and are on sale now at all Ticketmaster outlets, including and charge by phone at 800-745-3000.

The Oak Ridge Boys celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2013 with an extensive tour and the fun continues with the “Boys Night Out 2014 Tour” in advance of the forthcoming live album, “Boys Night Out.”

The group signed a new record contract with Cleopatra Record in January, according to the band’s official website, and will release its first ever live album, “Boys Night Out,” on April 15. The release will be available in CD, as well as digital download, and even a special issue vinyl product. It will feature 14 of the band’s trademark songs, including “Elvira,” “Thank God for Kids,” “You’re the One” and “Bobbie Sue.”

The Oak Ridge Boys have a distinctive vocal sound with amazing four-part harmonies which have helped earn the group dozens of country music hits with more than 40 million records sold around the world.
