Bazaar and Flea Market
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 945 Roundbunch Road in Bridge City, will hold its annual Christmas Bazaar and Flea Market from 7 a.m. - 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 23 featuring handcrafted religious and non-religious items, plus other crafts such as Christmas wreaths, bows, decorations and floral arrangements. There will be a bake shop, toys and stocking stuffers. All proceeds go toward the music program at Good Shepherd Lutheran, which provides scholarships to Lamar University music majors.
A benefit will be held for Joe Caraway starting at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 803 N. 28th St. in Orange. Caraway had his leg amputated in August and benefit will aid in expense of medical expenses, equipment and labor to make his home handicap accessible. Live music from Three Legged Dawg, and activities such as a raffle, cake walk, washer tourney, dart and pool contests, BBQ chicken and link plats available. Door prizes. Call 409-289-4787 for info.
National Model Railroad Month
Grace Luther Church, 2300 Eddleman Road, invites the public to its Open House events from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 23 and Nov. 30 to see mode trains, railroad layouts and an appearance by “Thomas the Train.” On Nov. 30, there will be four other railroad layouts open in the Golden Triangle for viewing as part of the Houston Railroad Tour, in Mauriceville, Bridge City, Groves and Beaumont. Directions will be available at Grace for each of these layouts. The ever popular “Lego” train layout will also be returning on Nov. 30 at the church. Garage sale, BBQ fundraiser
St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1704 N. 14th St. in Orange, will hold a garage sale and BBQ dinner fundraiser starting at 6 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 23. Community Thanksgiving Service
The Bridge City/Orangefield Ministerial Alliance invites the public to its annual Community Thanksgiving Service at 6 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 24 at Bridge Point Fellowship Church, 1355 W. Roundbunch in Bridge City. Rev. Mark Bunch from St. Paul United Methodist Church will bring the message with several of the local ministers participating in the service. The offering will help feed the hungry in our communities.

Thrift and Gift, located at 350 37th St. in Orange, has half-priced fall wreaths and arrangements for Thanksgiving and front doors, as well as select vendor items including Christmas trees, wreaths and arrangements for the holidays. The Vidor Classic Christmas Cruise will be held from 2 p.m. - 8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 14, at Capital One Bank, 1255 N. Main in Vidor.
