ORANGE — The Full Monty

Operation Kid Safe

Mike Bott’s safety team will be at Cecil Toyota, 2500 I-10 West in Orange, on Saturday, Oct. 27, to fingerprint and photo all of the children. We will have the fire department with a truck, police department and the sheriff’s department with cars, safety tips and even some gun-handling safety tips. The mechanical robot (SPARKY) will make a guest appearance.



Dinosaur Day

Dinosaur Day at The Texas Energy Museum, 600 Main St. in Beaumont, will be held from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27. This year will be the 20th Dinosaur Day and will continue to feature hands-on outdoor family activities and crafts about dinosaurs, fossils and paleontology. Call 409-833-5100 for info.



Saturday Adventure Series

Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center, 2111 W. Park Ave. in Orange, will hold its Saturday Adventure Series, at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 27. “Night Life at Shangri La” is a family program where we’ll turn off the lights and rely on our senses of hearing and touch as we explore the world of nocturnal animals and their adaptations. Halloween Carnival

The West Orange Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting a Halloween Carnival on from 6 p.m. - 10 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27, at the fire station located on Austin Street directly behind West Orange City Hall. The public is invited



Fall Festival

Little Cypress Baptist Church, 3274 Little Cypress Drive, will hold its annual Fall Festival at 6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27, with a hot dog snack for the family. At 6:30 p.m., a Trunk or Treat will be held for children, and, at 7 p.m., children can enjoy a carnival atmosphere in the family center. Children are encouraged to dress up, but no scary costumes please.



Trunk or Treat

Poinsettia Orders

Heroes Unmasked
