ORANGE — Ragball Tournament

A ragball tournament benefiting the MS Society will be held on Saturday, June 15, at the Orange Crush Complex (old Wesco Fields across from WO-S). Cost is $100 per team with a minimum of 3 girls per team. Teams supply their own balls. T-shirts for 1st and 2nd place. Event is in honor of Stephanie Zimmerman, a former Lady Bear and 2005 graduate of LC-M, who was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2008. Help us help her and others affected by this disease. OC Farmers Market

The Orange County Farmers Market is back in season twice-per-week from 7 a.m. - 10 a.m., Saturday, and 3 p.m. - 6 p.m., every Wednesday, in the parking lot of Big Lots on MacArthur Drive in Pinehurst. Items available include green beans, sugar snap peas, yellow squash, potatoes, red onions, mustard greens, tender greens, blueberries, blueberry bushes, plants, homemade jams and jellies, local honey, fresh eggs, homemade cookies and granola, fresh bread and more.The public is welcome to attend.



Books and more

Mothers Day Out Registration

North Orange Baptist Church MDO/Preschool is now registering for Summer and Fall sessions. The summer session begins June 11. The fall session begins Sept. 3. Classes are from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays. Children ages 9 months through Pre-K are accepted into the program. Nederland Art Guild

Nederland Art Guild classes are held from 3:30-5:30 p.m. each Tuesday at the Texas Artists Museum, 3501 Cultural Center Drive near the Bob Bowers Civic Center in Port Arthur. Cost is $4 for members and $5 for non-members. During the month of March, Ann Hoffpauir of Orange will be the instructor. The Bridge City-Orangefield Rotary Club meets at noon, every Thursday, at the Bridge City Community Center.



CASA BBQ Benefit

Stoneleigh on Major is hosting a barbecue benefit and pool party for CASA of Southeast Texas from noon - 2 p.m., Saturday, June 15, at 4550 N. Major Drive, Beaumont with live music performed by J.A.G. Three-meat barbecue plates will consist of Award Winning Get Down Brown’s brisket, chicken and sausage; with potato salad and baked beans and all the trimmings, and banana pudding for dessert. Cost is $10/plate and donations will be accepted with 100% of proceeds benefiting CASA of Southeast Texas. Door Prizes of $100 gas cards will be given away every 30 minutes.



Orange City Council

The Orange City Council will hold a special call meeting 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 18 at the Orange Public Library Auditorium located at 220 5th Street in Orange. The purpose of the meeting is to interview auditing firms who submitted proposals for auditing services.



SETX Hospice Memorial Service

The Southeast Texas Hospice will hold its annual Memorial Service at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 20, in the Parish Hall of St. Mary Catholic Church, 912. W. Cherry in Orange. This event is held in memory of all patients served by Southeast Texas Hospice and will include prayer and music. Rev. Jeff Bell will preside over the service. The community is invited. LCHS Multi-Class Reunion

The Little Cypress High School graduating classes of 1953 through 1970 have scheduled a reunion on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013. An LC Alumni reception dinner and dance will he held at VFW Post 2775, 5303 N. 16th St. in Orange from 7:30 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. LC Friends Reception, with snacks, appetizers and drinks provided, will be from 2 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Dinner is at 6 p.m. Cost is $35 per person. BAL Art Camp

The Beaumont Art League, 2675 Gulf St. in Beaumont, will hold a summer art camp for children ages 6-12 years. Sessions will be from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., July 15 - July19 and July 22 – July 26. The monthly meeting of the Orange County Master Gardeners is held the second Thursday of the month at the Salvation Army building on the corner of MLK and Strickland in Orange.
