After great reflection and consideration, I would like to officially announce my candidacy for Justice of the Peace Precinct 2 Orange County. I have a sincere desire to serve the citizens of Precinct 2 and Orange County.

If elected and given the honor to serve the citizens of Precinct 2 as your next Justice of the Peace, it is my promise to keep honesty and integrity within the office. Furthermore, I will be a full-JP and will be faithful to the law and always conduct myself in a professional manner.

I have been blessed to have been raised in Orange County (Precinct 2} and call it home my whole life and my mother’s family being here since the 1800’s. I am proud to say that I have been married to my wife Windee for 22 years. We are also proud to have raised our three sons Tanner, Tyler, and Trever here. Our two oldest sons are currently attending college and our youngest son will be in the ninth grade.

I am a proud Agriculture Science Teacher and FFA Advisor for 26 years, with 24 for those being at Orangefield High School and the first 2 years at Little Cypress-Mauriceville CISD. I currently serve as Truancy Prevention Officer for OJSD along with my teaching responsibilities.

We are very active within the community serving with the Mauriceville Crawfish Festival for over 30 years, Christmas in Orangefield, Orange County GOTexan, Orangefield Cormier Museum, Special Angles Rodeo, and the Orange County Livestock Show. I am also a member or Bride City Masonic Lodge #1345. I was fortunate in 2013 to be named the Grater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year.

I want to continue to serve the citizens of Orange County. It is my hope that on March 6, 2018 you will consider me, Chad Jenkins, as your next Justice of the Peace Precinct 2.
