Ms. Joyce M. Hoyt

 

The Life of Ms. Joyce M. Hoyt will be celebrated with Visitation Services Friday, July 6th, 2018 from 4 until 6 p.m. at Sparrow Funeral Home. No other services are planned.

Joyce Marie Hoyt was born August 27th, 1947 in Orange, TX to Knoxie and Deniza Hoyt.

She lived a fulfilled life to the age of 70.

She transitioned to meet the Lord on June 29th, 2018 at her residence in Orange.

Ms. Hoyt professed her faith and was a member of the Mount Olive Baptist Church.

She retired as a Senior Laboratory Technician from LanXess Corporation (B.F. Goodrich Company) of Orange.

She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Prairie View A & M College. She was a high school graduate from Sacred Heart High School of Port Arthur, TX.

She was a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and the NAACP-Orange Branch.

Joyce was a loving and caring soul. She enjoyed entertaining her friends and giving to others through many ways and many charitable organizations. She will be greatly missed.

Ms. Hoyt was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Richard Glynn Hoyt (Bubber) of Orange.

She leaves to cherish her memory her aunt, Clemmie Jones of Los Angeles, CA, one sister, Alice Faye Knox of Houston, TX, one niece, Deniza Marie Edwards (Johnathan), great-nephew, Christopher Xavier Hoyt-Edwards, great niece, Adrienne Johnelle Edwards, and God-Son, Jonathan Xavier Jacobs, all of Orange, and a host of loving friends and relatives.
