WWE Returns to Ford Arena

The end of summer will be very exciting as wrestling returns to Southeast Texas.

SMG, the management company of Ford Park in Beaumont, announced late Monday the return of wrestling to the complex with WWE Live at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 19 inside Ford Arena. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 25 at all Ticketmaster outlets, including the Ford Park box office, HEB Plus on Dowlen Road in Beaumont, the Beaumont Civic Center and the Lake Charles Civic Center. Tickets are also available at Ticketmaster.com or by phone at 800-745-3000.

At least three championship matches are scheduled for the night as well as Seth Rollings, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, squares off against “The Lunatic Fringe,” Dean Ambrose.

Other title matches include John Cena, the United States Champion, facing Kevin Owens, while the WWE Tag Team Champions Prime Time Players defend the title against New Day.

Mark Henry, “the world’s strongest man” and a native of Silsbee, Texas, is scheduled to appear at the WWE Live event along with several other wrestlers.
