Nora Pearl Hayes

 

Funeral services for Nora Pearl Hayes, 86, of Orange will be 10:00 am Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Kirbyville City Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hayes passed away November 2, 2017 at her residence.

Nora was born July 9, 1931 in Black Oak, AR to Grover Cleveland and Nora Pearl Couch Cotton. She lived in Orange County for 51 years and worked as a chef, retiring from Eellee’s Seafood.   Nora was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Herman H. Hayes; sons Edmund Charles McGhee and James William Hayes; brothers Cecil and Clyde Cotton; and sisters Jewel, Mary, Ruth, Francis, Ruby and Dora.

Left behind to cherish her memories are her son Michael H. Hayes of Bonham; daughters Belinda Manuel of Orangefield and Connie Plunk of Sulphur La; brother James Cleveland Cotton of Little Cypress; twelve grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Hayes will be greatly missed by her loving family and many friends.
