Edward Durward Casey, Jr.

Edward Durward Casey, Jr., 84, of Orange, Texas, passed away on April 10, 2018.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 13, 2018, at First Christian Church in Orange. A graveside service with burial will follow at 2:00 p.m., at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center, Texas.

Visitation will be 9:30 a.m., Friday, April 13, 2018, at First Christian Church.

Born in Bertram, Texas, on July 9, 1933, he was the son of Edward D. Casey, Sr. and Suewillow Wilkerson Casey. Edward graduated from Stark High School in 1951, where he met his high school sweetheart and wife of 64 years, Billie Jean Rudd. He served in the United States Army. Edward worked for American Bridge/ U.S. Steel where he retired. He was an accounting supervisor. Edward’s greatest joy was being PaPaw to his grandchildren and PePaw to his great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all those who came to know and love him.

He was preceded in death by his son, Don Edward Casey; and parents, Edward D., Sr. and Suewillow Casey.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 64 years, Billie Jean Casey of Orange; daughter, Brenda Boozer and husband Harold of Orange; grandchildren, Amanda Istre, Chris Boozer and wife Haley, Leanne Fuselier and husband Bryant, Shon Casey and wife Kathleen, and Tara Casey; 7 great-grandchildren; and brother, Larry Casey and wife Sandra of Orange.

Serving as pallbearers will be Harold Boozer, Chris Boozer, Shon Casey, Bryant Fuselier, Jimmy Cassidy and Blake Istre.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to First Christian Church, 611 9th St., Orange, Texas, 77630.
