Bessie Herrin-Linscomb

Bessie Herrin-Linscomb, 94, another one from the greatest generation passed away on Friday, November 22, 2019 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Wolf Den, TX she was a longtime resident of Vidor who enjoyed reading, gardening, working crossword puzzles, cooking and going to garage sales but she especially loved keeping her grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, November 25, 2019 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at King Cemetery in Hartburg, TX. Bessie is survived by 1 daughter; Ann Linscomb-Morrell and her husband Frank Rocco Morrell of Beaumont, 1 son; Douglas Linscomb and his wife Sarah of Vidor, 3 grandchildren; Brandon Rocco Morrell and his wife Jeanette of Beaumont, Ryan Douglas Morrell and his wife Stephanie of Sealy, TX, and Krystan Amber Morrell of Vidor, 3 great grandchildren; Dakota Morrell, Savannah Morrell, Victoria Morrell and one on the way for Brandon and Jeanette. She is also survived by 1 brother-in-law; Wilbert Linscomb and his wife Mayva Jean and 1 sister-in-law; Wilma “Cricket” Linscomb. Bessie was preceded in death by her husband; Robert Linscomb, 1 great granddaughter; Charlotte Morrell along with several brothers and sisters. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to: Alzheimer’s Association, 2909 W. Holcombe Blvd. Houston, TX 77025-9992.
