After a great deal of praying, a miracle came through and Community Christian School retained it’s accreditation with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), which is commissioned by the state of Texas.

As the new school year is about to start, the school is also welcoming Loretta Goericke, M. Ed. As head of the school.

She has a Master’s Degree in Christian School Administration, Bachelor’s Degrees in Education, Ministry, Counseling and Music. She has many years of experience in education, such as, eight years as a School Administrator, six years as a classroom teacher, eleven years as an English Second Language Instructor, and many more.

Goericke has an ACSI Principal Certificate, is a lifetime certified day care director, and is an ordained Assemblies of God minister, according to her bio on the school’s website.

Before Goericke began working at the school, she was already working with the ACSI to help the school with its accreditation.

She was not planning on moving and was looking forward to retirement when she heard God calling her to Orange.

“I was laying tile when I heard God telling me I was going to Orange, Texas,” Goericke said. “I said, ‘OK, but where’s Orange?’”

She was in the Austin area at the time.

She plans to see the school focus on rebuilding and restoring the spiritual development of the students with a Christian world view.

“We offer a fully rounded program as we bring back athletics and fine arts,” Goericke said. “Academics are a high priority. We want our students to be strong in academics and have no problem with college. We are also continuing with the duel credit courses as well.”

The school is currently setting appointments with parents as part of the enrollment process.

“It is a typical enrollment package,” Goericke said.

First step is to fill out a new student inquiry form found at http://ccsorange.org/admissions/

First day of school is August 17, 2020.
