After three students were recognized by Congressman Brian Babin for ranking 7th place in over 2,200 teams in the Capital Hill Stock Market Challenge, West Orange-Cove CISD releases statement distancing its self from the students and the organization which helped them compete.

Here is the statement:

In recent days it has been brought to our attention that an organization is using a similar name that may reflect an association or school-sponsored relationship with WOCCISD. West Orange-Cove CISD is not associated with the Young Financial Wizards Program nor the team that competed under the name West Orange-Stark Capital Hill Challenge Team. Students of West Orange-Cove CISD choose to participate in this non-school sponsored program as a choice of their own. Any financial solicitations from Young Financial Wizards Inc. are not associated with West Orange-Cove CISD.
