Hello beautiful people. I want to talk this week about being present in what we are all experiencing.

We are all experiencing life a little different. Life for me is quite different. I went from being busy and on the go all the time to not having anywhere to go physically. I am still busy just in a different way. I am attending meetings via Zoom now instead of in person. What does that look like for me? I wish I could tell you it looks highly productive, but that would be a false statement. There are days when I get several tasks done and then there are days when I do not get much completed.

I am here to tell you that I find that has been extremely normal for most people. If you are like me, do not beat yourself up. If you have completed all the tasks around your home that you have put off, then I am proud of you.

What is important is to be present in this moment and look at life with a new lens.

We have a wonderful opportunity to connect with others on a deeper level. Writing to friends and family is one way to slow the digital pace down and leave something impactful.

It is a chance to get to know your neighbors. Of course, we wave on our way to work and maybe while checking the mailbox but give yourself a chance to chat.

I got an opportunity to meet a neighbor for the first time while taking my morning walk. Take advantage of those opportunities.

If you are not an essential worker you should consider letters, cards or even sending lunch to places with essential workers. A thank you goes a long way.

If you have children at home, this is a chance to include them in on doing for others. We have the chance to mold our young people into considerate and empathetic people.

Time has slowed down for many of us. If you are one of those people, I suggest you plug into your current situation and explore being intentionally present.

I think making a list of things you can eliminate from your life prior to this pandemic is wise. You have adapted to doing without things in this moment almost cold turkey in some situations. Evaluate things and incorporate them into a life less hectic when this is all said and done.

I hope you are living boldly and learning to be more present. I will be back next week with a new project. My wheels are turning and pointing towards a build. Stay tuned for the first week in May. OrangeYouBold… YES I AM!
