There is a chance for strong to severe thunderstorms on Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday there is a slight 15% risk in southeast Texas, with a marginal 5% risk across most of southwest, south central, and central Louisiana. Damaging winds, hail, and lightning are the primary risks.
Sunday there is a moderate 45% risk in parts of central Louisiana, while southeast Texas, southwest Louisiana, and south central Louisiana have an enhanced 30% risk. All of these regions have the potential for strong EF2+ tornadoes.
Have a plan to take shelter if a tornado warning is issued for your area.
