PRESS RELEASE — Let’s see what’s been going on. I don’t feel guilty taking my paycheck for the week. Crazy, crazy!!

Received a call where there were some stolen items at a camp down the river from Deweyville. Items included a boat and motor. Deweyville Fire Dept loaded some of us and took us to that location. Found guns, the boat and three guys. Nothing reported stolen. Big thanks to Deweyville VFD.

We received a report of a missing man who was last seen in Cameron La. We recovered the vehicle he had been driving north of Devil’s Pocket on Hwy 87. Hog hunters found a body about ½ mile from where his vehicle was recovered. Tattoos indicated the body was that of the missing man. Judge Ashmore ordered an autopsy to determine the cause of death. Big thanks go out to Deweyville Fire Dept. for helping us carry the deceased out to Hwy 87. Thanks again guys.

Need help from parents. Keep them kids at home. There is a 24-hour curfew in effect for kids younger than 18. The fine is $1,000 for violating this order. That’s lots of money and we are enforcing it. It’s a big problem. Help us out mom and dad.

Man called and reported two red calves missing in the Old Champion area. Ones a male and ones a female. Man wants his calves back. Any help would be appreciated.

We received two sexual assault of a child complaints last week. Deputy White is investigating these cases.

Gotta go. Thought for the week: Churches and casinos are closed, God and the devil agree, stay at home. Ya’ll have a good week and if we can help, just holler! God bless.
