LC-M Family,

With Governor Abbott’s announcement of extending the emergency declaration and school closures, LCM CISD will continue to be closed for face-to-face instruction through May 4, 2020.

The District’s Flexible Education Program will continue with online and paper/pencil instructional materials. Please work with your child’s principal and teacher to ensure you are receiving the instructional activities needed for your child. For now, we will continue the classwork packet drop-off and pick-up at campuses. As in all things with this virus, this option could possibly change, so we ask you to please be vigilant in working with your child’s teacher in accessing the materials.

School lunches will continue to be provided/delivered on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. If this changes, we will contact parents through social media outlets and School Messenger.

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) is now requiring all school districts to be part of the “Texas Stay Healthy” campaign. We will comply with this effort by posting TEA-prepared notifications daily to the District website, Facebook page and Twitter for the next couple of weeks on things we can do to stay safe.

Thank you again for all that you are doing. Many changes are being required and we’re implementing these and notifying you as quickly as possible. We are grateful to you for your continued help in educating your child! We couldn’t do this job without you!

Stay Strong, Be Safe, and Take ONE day at a time!

Stacey Brister
