Five confirmed COVID-19 cases in Orange County

There are five confirmed cases of the coronavirus in Orange County as of Monday, March 30, 2020.

Bridge City has one case, Mauriceville had the first case, Vidor has two and now there is one conformed case in Orange.

Total calls received by Call Center – 1,480

  • 243 calls received Monday
  • 589 have been referred for testing since call center opened on 3/20)
  • 86 were tested at the drive-through site today

There is a BURN BAN in effect for all of Jefferson County. A burn ban is also in effect in Orange County.

COVID-19 attacks the respiratory system and as such, we need to refrain from burning debris in order to protect everyone, especially those with already compromised respiratory systems.

Effective today, the Call Center will be open 24-hours every day.  If you are experiencing symptoms (fever, dry cough, shortness of breath) or you believe you have been exposed to an infected individual, you can call 409-550-2536 to be evaluated for testing.
