Do you know who the Antichrist is?  Someone who is Anti-Christ. Someone who is against Christ.  1 John 4:3 states “but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God.  This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.”

The Antichrist has been here at least since Adam and Eve.

I know Christians that have talked about the Antichrist coming and that’s when the true evil will start.

Well, in the sense of the book of Revelation, yes, but in the sense of now, right now; he has been moving and scheming around us since the creation of man.

Ezekiel 28:13 – 15 states Satan was great until about 100 years or less, after creation.  Vs 13-“Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy timbrels and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.”

He was Lucifer, a good angel or cherub, and he was in the Garden.

I hate this translation and at the same time, I love it.  I don’t like the Elizabethian English, but all the rest of it is great.

It really tells you how adorned Satan was; covered in Jewels and gold.  It states he was perfect in his ways until iniquity was found in him. What?  I’m so thankful for Jesus’s blood to cover me.

If Satan was perfect and then found with iniquity, I wouldn’t stand a chance without Jesus.

I’m unsure if the anti-Christ is still adorned in such fashion because in Revelation 17:8 it states the earth will be astonished when they see the beast?  I’m unsure if they will be astonished because he will be so beautiful, or if this is the false resurrection that Satan will duplicate like Christ. (vs 8-“The beast, which you saw, once was, now is not, and yet will come up out of the Abyss and go to its destruction. The inhabitants of the earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the creation of the world will be astonished when they see the beast because it once was, now is not, and yet will come.”)

It almost seems like God did not want us to understand this, because it is very confusing.

One thing I do know is Jesus died on the cross for my sins, to combat Satan’s temptations and luring me into something I don’t want to do.

Paul says in Romans 7:15-17 – I do not understand what I do.  For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate, I do.  And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good.”

So even Paul had a hard time trying not to sin.

But Hebrews 6:6 tells us “…to their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.”

If we love God, we should be trying everything to keep away from sin, even though it is a hard thing to do.

Easter is around the corner and it looks like the coronavirus will keep us from corporately meeting, but we can still pray for one another, have Facebook Church, or watch Youtube or Podcast sermons.

Keep God first in your lives as we go through these times, and don’t let the Anti-Christ fool you.
