West Orange-Cove CISD Child Nutrition Services was busy making sure children within the district were giving a nice breakfast Monday morning.
WO-C CISD Child Nutrition Services will be providing meals to Children 18 years of age and under regardless of income and enrollment in the district.

“Everything went pretty smoothly this morning for breakfast, said WO-C CISD Superintendant Dr. Rickie Harris. “The pick-up process worked really well along with our drop-offs. We thought we would have more students than what we actually did in the morning, and we hope that picks up, especially for the lunch hours.”

Meal service will be a grab and go drive through at North Early Learning Center and West Orange-Stark High School from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Both Breakfast/Lunch will be given for that day during that time. Children must be present to receive a meal, you can not receive a meal for a child that is not present.

The district will be going online with digital instruction starting Wednesday, Mar. 25. WO-C CISD has created a new WOCCISD-AT-HOME site for each campus where you can find student daily guidance plans, weekly student expectations, learning tracking logs, and specific instructions on your child’s campus page.

“Our staff is making tremendous progress in getting everything up and ready to go and we are all learning new ways to do things,” said. Dr. Harris. “What’s funny is so many kids these days know more about the new computer technology than a lot of us administrators and teachers do.”

Kindergarten through 5th grade will use Imagine Learning, and 6th-12th grade will use Google Classroom.

“We want to make sure all of our students have the technology to access the learning opportunities and curriculum materials,” said Dr. Harris. “If your child needs to borrow a device from the district, we have created a form for you to complete. Please complete the form for each student who will borrow a device”

In addition, staff will continue to work throughout the normal school hours and carry out their work to the extent possible during the school closures.

WOCCISD will continue to share information through the WOCCISD website, social media, and email. Check out our
new WOCCISD-AT-HOME site where you can find all the updates and information you will need while schools are closed.
