Little Cypress-Mauriceville CISD has been busy making sure that their students across the district are being fed and also making sure they get plenty of nutrition for the studying ahead.

“The administration is so grateful for the Child Nutrition and Transportation employees, who are doing their best to make sure that our students have breakfast and lunch during the week,” said LC-M CISD Superintendant Stacey Brister.

When we realized that things were going to be “different” than our normal days, Brister spoke to both departments to find a way that they could still serve the students; many of whom are were in a position of not always having food readily available to  them.

The Technology team has also been extremely busy creating plans to help students digitally.

“Many other campuses and departments are working to make sure teachers have what they need to be able to maintain communication with their students and other school staff,” said Brister. “One of these groups is Technology. They have been making sure to get programs downloaded to the network to make sure that students and teachers have the resources they need for the Flexible Education Program with which we are currently working.”

The FEP will include a blended instructional approach with both online and paper/pencil learning tasks.  This plan will vary by grade level.  Information regarding academic planning for your child will be sent from your child’s teacher.

As LC-M continues to navigate through the challenges presented by COVID-19, the district will continue to update everyone with information regarding their children’s Flexible Education Program through School Messenger and District Facebook.
