If the medical community in this country is correct in suggesting that the Coronavirus could become a full fledged pandemic, we don’t have enough hospital beds to care for all the potential patients.

Orange and Port Arthur have five hospitals that are just sitting there collecting dust. It’s possible that Mid County and Beaumont have hospitals that aren’t being used at least for what they were built for.

It may be wise to start making some preliminary plans to open these hospitals. Failing to take action may leave many of our citizens with inadequate health care leading to tragic results.
