BRIDGE CITY – The Bridge City Lady Cardinals captured a 5-1 victory over the Lufkin Hudson Lady Hornets at their own Lady Cardinal Tournament Friday.

Madyson Melton nabbed the win on the hill as she worked six innings and struck out two.

Ashley Gerrald was 3-fo-4 at the plate and scored a run. Kyndall Harrison was 2-for-3 with a RBI and scored twice. McKenna Carey was 2-for-4. Aspen Daniels was 1-for-2 with two RBI and Austyn Daniels went 1-for-3 with a RBI.
