LIBERTY – Another superb basketball season came to an end for the Orangefield Lady Bobcats Tuesday night as they fell to Hitchcock 63-52 in Class 3A Region III regional quarterfinal action at Liberty High School.

The Lady Bobcats (29-13) fell behind Hitchcock (26-5) 19-8 in the first quarter and got to within 29-19 at the half. Hitchcock was able to stretch its lead to 53-35 by the start of the fourth quarter.

Jacey Bourque led the Lady Bobcats with 18 points and had four rebounds.

Harleigh Rawls contributed 12 points, six rebounds and took two charges. Joli Ponfick notched 10 points, four assists and took two charges. Faith Fregia had eight points and four steals while Madison Greenway yanked down a team-high 12 rebounds while Stormi Lorenzo pulled down eight rebounds.
