BRIDGE CITY – The Bridge City Lady Cardinals lost a District Soccer heartbreaker to Hardin Jefferson, who they beat the first round of district, 3-2 on Friday night.

A host of errors by the Cardinals was the ultimate deciding factor on how the game would end. The Lady Hawks scored two goals on mistakes made by the Lady Cards in the first half, making the game 2-0. A spark was lit under the Cards, and they retaliated with two quick goals before the first half was complete. Despite maintaining control on the offensive side of the field for the majority of the second half, the Hawks were able to sneak a ball to the back of the net to win the game 3-2.

The Lady Cardinals will travel to Hamshire Fannett on Tuesday to take on the Lady Horns at 7 p.m.
