GALVESTON – The Orangefield Lady Bobcats improved to 3-0 on the weekend at the Galveston Mardi Gras Tournament with two wins on Friday.

Game 1 vs. Ball High

Ryden Stanfield went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 runs scored. Emma Humplik went 2 for 4 with a homerun, 2RBIs and 2 runs scored. Tiffany Ciancaglione went 2 for 4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored. Olivia Grant went 2 for 4 with a double, and 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored.

Codie Sorge got the win on the mound going a full 7 innings with 15 strikeouts.

Game 2 vs. Westwood (Round Rock)

Ryden Stanfield had a double with 2 RBIs and a run scored. Codie Sorge went 1 for 2. Sadie Daigle went 2 for 2 with with a walk and a run scored. Emma Humplik went 2 for 3 with her fourth homerun of the weekend, 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored. Tiffany Ciancaglione went 2 for 3 with an RBI and a run scored. Heather Mineer was 1 for 3 with an RBI and a run scored. Hannah Dupuis went 1 for 3 with a run scored.

Codie Sorge got her second win of the day in back to back games giving up 3 earned runs with 8 strikeouts.
