Cottage Boutique grand opening

Come join us for our Grand Opening Celebration. We will have a vendor market set up outside in addition to our shops inside The Cottage. There will be activities for the kids, lots of great shopping and free hot dogs and drinks for our first 100 guests. The event will last from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. If you are a vendor and are interested in a spot for this event, please message us. The Cottage Boutique is located at 11261 Highway 12, suite 400.

 

Churchwide Garage Sale 

Cove Baptist Church, 1005 Dupont Drive in Orange, will hold a Churchwide Garage Sale – RAIN OR SHINE – Inside Family Center from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8. There will be clothes, toys, children’s books, children’s videos, Kitchen items, Christmas decorations, Flower arrangements, black leather-chairs, tables, Lamps, furniture, lots more. Pocket knives, etc. Frito pie and drinks will be sold.

 

Meet & Greet for Jimmy Lane Mooney

Meet & Greet for Jimmy Lane Mooney, running for your next Sheriff of Orange Co., Sat. Feb. 8, from 10 a.m. till 2 p.m. in front of the Market Basket parking lot.  Mr. Dan Flynn & Jimmy Nicks BBQ will be providing BBQ sandwiches, chips & drinks. Come out to visit & eat with Jimmy Lane, get to know him better, if you have any questions or concerns — now is your chance. We will have some yard signs if you are still wanting one. OC Retired Teachers Association meeting

Orange County Retired Teachers Association will hold its next meeting at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 10, 2020, at Wesley UMC, 401 37th Street, Orange, TX. The theme for the meeting will be “Love Is In The Air,” hosted by Judy Williams, Nancy Hooker, Betty Baham, Susan Bayliss, and Juana Mathews. Assistive Technologies will attend in order for members to redeem their vouchers. Guests are welcome.

Networking Coffee

Bridge City Chamber of Commerce Networking Coffee will be held Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 8 a.m. hosted by Candace Mulhollan at Re/Max One at the Bridge City Community Center at 105 Parkside Drive in Bridge City.

 

Anger Management Classes

Wells of Agape is holding Anger Management Classes start from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11, at Family Worship Center located at 2300 41st Street (Old Bancroft School) in Orange, Texas. The requirement to receive a Certificate of Completion is $40 per person, cash only and covers all three nights. Must be paid prior to the first class. Golden K Kiwanis meeting

Golden K Kiwanis meets every Wed. from 9:45-10:45 a.m. in the meeting room of the Salvation Army Building, corner of MLK and Strickland, across from the Shell and fire station.  The public is welcome to attend, and coffee is always served. Jessica Hill, CEO of the Orange EDC, will be the guest speaker.

Gigantic Book Sale Collection

The American Association of University Women- Orange Chapter is gearing up for its upcoming annual gigantic book sale at Art in the Park on April 4.  This is a fundraising event to give girls from Orange scholarships to college.  AAUW is now collecting donated books, CDs, DVDs, etc. for this fundraiser.  Collection sites are: Looking Good Salon on Northway Shopping Center next to Market Basket; Mann Insurance at the corner of Park Avenue and 15th Street.  If you have a large number of books you can bring them to The Thrift and Gift Shop (use the Azalea St. gate) on Thursday, February 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
