Hurricane Harvey dealt R & R Auto Parts a blow with its inundating rains. However, Harvey did not hold siblings Sue Denosowicz and Joe Howington back.

Denosowicz and Howington took the opportunity to expand the store their father opened.

“Our dad, Jerry opened it in 1974,” Denosowicz said. “We are the only locally owned auto parts store and we are affiliated with NAPA.”

National Automotive Parts Association, also known as NAPA Auto Parts, was founded in 1925, is an American retailers’ cooperative distributing automotive replacement parts, accessories and service items in North America.

While an official ribbon cutting for the new expansion is planned for early 2020, the siblings wanted to show their appreciation for their customers who stood by them as they rebuild and improve the store.

On Monday, the store celebrated with hot links, barbecue sandwiches, and cookies for those who stopped by.

“We are also having our biggest sale of the year,” Denosowicz said. “We really love our customers.”

Known for being a family-friendly business, Denosowicz introduced their very own ‘NAPA Baby’.

“Nicki is such an asset, we could not do without her,” Denosowicz said. “So, we Baby Logan her own office.”

The tool and parts sale continue through the week with deals up to 82-percent off. While you are there, check out the new look. Another expansion is still in the planning stages, so expect R & R Auto Parts to continue growing.
