The Orange Leader
Carissa Slaughter and Brendon Hoffman each received a scholarship through the Orange Community Players (OCP).
Slaughter received the $500 Jeff Hattman Scholarship and was also presented with the Director’s Chair.
She is attending Lamar State College-Orange where she is also an Ambassador for the college.
She is a Bridge City High School graduate and is majoring in nursing.
Her hobbies include piano, singing, volleyball, being active in church and student leadership activities.
Hoffman is also a Bridge City High School graduate and was presented with the Orange Community Players Theater Scholarship.
Each of the board members for OCP donated to the fund to create this new scholarship.
Hoffman will attend Texas A&M University where he will major in Civil Engineering.
His hobbies include boating and water activities, video games and spending time with his friends.
A recent fundraiser for OCP, Summer Music Review and Dinner Show, was a great success. OCP hopes to continue providing live theater with local talent to the area.
