The City of Vidor Police Department responded to the following calls from June 19 – June 25, 2019:

 

Wednesday, June 19

  • Suspicious person at the 200 block of Orange Street
  • Suspicious vehicle at the 700 block of West Freeway
  • Disturbance at the 400 block of Hallie Street
  • Disturbance at Country Pantry
  • Loitering at First United Methodist Church
  • Suspicious person at Walgreen’s
  • Animal call at the 861 westbound. A person reported a large bird of prey sitting on the shoulder possibly injured. 
  • Suspicious person at Chevron Station
  • Damaged property at the 600 block of Evangeline Drive
  • Theft at the 100 block of Lynnville Street
  • Suspicious activity at the 200 block of Carla Street
  • Disturbance at the 200 block of Teal Drive
  • Suspicious person on South Dewitt 
  • Suspicious vehicle on North Timberlane near the service road. 

 

Thursday, June 20

  • Theft at the 1300 Windwood Street
  • Suspicious activity at the 675 Pine Street
  • Suspicious activity at the 1200 block of Hwy. 12
  • Reckless Driver near Park and Dewitt
  • Assault in the parking lot at Gunstream’s Tire Repair

 

Friday, June 21

  • Suspicious vehicle at the 200 block of North Dewitt
  • Disturbance at the Twelve Oaks Apartment
  • Suspicious person at Burger King
  • Traffic hazard on Interstate 10 westbound. A sofa was in the middle of the interstate.
  • Burglary at 21200 block of Interstate 10
  • Trespassing at Comtex Verizon Wireless Sprint
  • Suspicious activity at the 400 block of South Tannahill
  • Trespassing at Oakwood Manor Nursing Home
  • Theft at the 200 block of School Road
  • Threat at the 730 Elgie Street
  • Damaged property at the 200 block of Filomore Street
  • Suspicious person at First United Methodist Church
  • Trespassing at WalMart #0457
  • Trespassing on East Bolivar. A person was report on the property while the homeowner was out of town.
  • Animal call at Interstate 10 and Main. A chicken was reported in the area. According to the call logs, it was last seen flying north of feeder road.
  • Harassment at the 700 block of Laurel Street
  • Weapons offense near East Railroad and Ethel
  • Assault near Pizza Hut. A man was reported to punch a woman. 
  • Weapons offense near Green Street. 
  • Disturbance at the 300 block of Dewitt Street
  • Disturbance at Twelve Oaks Apartments
  • Suspicious person at Woods Mini Storage

 

Saturday, June 22

  • Assault at the 1000 block of Orange Street
  • Suspicious person at the 2400 block of Old 90
  • Disturbance at the 100 block of Cady Street
  • Disturbance at the 2500 block of Polly Street
  • Suspicious person at Star Stop #2. A man was reported for being on his knees and appearing to be praying to the Citgo sign. Man told the officer he was just praying.
  • Traffic collision at Old 90 east and Stephenson
  • Stolen property at the 300 block of South Denver Street
  • Suspicious person at the 1500 block of Main
  • Suspicious activity near South Tannahill and West Courtland
  • Disturbance at the 100 block of Peach Street
  • Disturbance at the 18400 block of Interstate 10
  • Narcotics at the 1100 block of North Tannahill Street
  • Disturbance at the 600 block of Pinecrest Street
  • Disturbance at the 500 block of Hallie Street
  • Disturbance at The Falls
  • Disturbance at the 200 block of North Dewitt Street

 

Sunday, June 23

  • Suspicious activity at the 200 block of North Dewitt Street
  • Recovery of stolen property at the 1000 block of Orange Street
  • Disturbance on Lamar Street
  • Found property at the 200 block of School Road
  • Animal call at the 400 block of Denver Street. A snake was reported inside a house. The King Snake evaded capture and is reported to remain at large.
  • Weapons offense at the 300 block of Cornell Street
  • Animal call on Bolivar. Pigmy goats had escaped and were being rounded up.
  • Suspicious activity near Main and Cornell Street
  • Suspicious activity at the 600 block of West Bolivar Street

 

Monday, June 24

  • Suspicious person at the 400 block of Reynolds Lane
  • Theft at the 900 block of Harvey Lane
  • Suspicious activity at the 200 block of North Dewitt Street
  • Damaged property at the 200 block of North Dewitt Street
  • Suspicious vehicle at the 100 block of South Archie Street
  • Runaway at the 400 block of Elgie Street
  • Criminal mischief at the 1300 block of South Main Street
