NOTICE AND OPPORTUNITY TO COMMENT ON CITY OF ORANGE – HURRICANE HARVEY CDBG-DR ROUND 1 APPLICATIONS

Program: Community Development and Revitalization; Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery

The public is invited to provide comments on the City of Orange infrastructure program and acquisition/buyout applications to the Community Development Block Grant for Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) for Hurricane Harvey.  The Texas General Land Office is the state administrative agency for the Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery funds (CDBG-DR) provided through the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for Hurricane Harvey Recovery.

As a part of the requirements for the disaster recovery funds, the City of Orange City must provide for 30-day application public review and comment.  The applications for CDBG-DR Infrastructure and CDBG-DR Acquisition/Buyout are available for review on the City website at http://www.orangetexas.net/

Citizen comments will be received via email to grants@orangetexasgov.us or at 803 W. Green Avenue, Room 201, Orange, Texas, 77630, City of Orange City Hall 409-883-1050.   Comments must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. June 20, 2019 in order to be considered. The City will post a response to public comments received before the applications are sent to GLO for final approval.  All comments and responses will be included with a copy of the Hurricane Harvey CDBG-DR application that will be submitted to the Texas General Land Office (GLO).
