Orange Police are investigating an early morning robbery at the Crawdads Convenience Store located at 4080 Interstate 10 in Orange.

According to Orange Police Detective Captain Robert Enmon, Orange Police responded to the store early Wednesday morning shortly before 4 a.m. in reference to an armed robbery.
Officer J. Roy responded to the scene and made contact with the clerk, that stated a suspect had entered the store with a weapon demanding money.

The suspect fled west from the store before officers arrived on scene.

A search of the area by officers was performed but officers were unable to locate the individual.
Officers were able to obtain further information from the scene and located a person of interest.

A person was detained and taking into police custody for questioning.
This Crawdads Store has had it’s fair share of robberies, the last robbery occurred back in June of this year, when a 55 year old male robber was fatally shot by the clerk.
