Franchesca Cole is celebrating her third year of teaching Spanish as a Pirate at Vidor High School.

She says this about teaching, “While teaching concepts is important, taking every opportunity to make mundane moments teachable ones is even more so. A student may remember what they learned in your class and may apply it in life, but they will always remember that you cared about them as a person. It makes me happy to know that when my students walk away from their last year of Spanish class, they do so with a bit of Spanish knowledge and a lot of love.”
