An organization formed due to the need for family restoration is planning it’s 10th Anniversary Fundraising Gala this Saturday from 5:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. at The Garden District located at 7536 State Hwy. 87 in Orange.

Wells of Agape was founded by Ron and Donna Wells as a non-profit 501(c)3 tax exempt organization, when after serving as foster parents for 11 years, saw first hand the need for family restoration.

The event, adult only and all guests are encouraged to dress in after-five attire, will also have a silent auction, performance by Jerry May and Band, and guest speaker Mayor Larry Spears Jr.

The Gala is to raise funding for the expansion of services and much-needed programs for the families of SETX and surrounding areas.

The silent auction will feature such treats as in a lifetime African Safari and other great vacation deals plus items from local businesses as well as an opportunity to win a big screen television.

Tickets are still available until September 28 and are $60 each.

Wells of Agape currently provide faith-based counseling, parenting classes, anger management classes and life skills training. They are requested by local prisons to minister as well.

“It is not just for those in foster care,” Donna Wells said. “It is for the community of the Golden Triangle.”
