A Bridge City family is left with only the clothes they were wearing, according to a family member after their home went up in a massive fire late Friday night.
Orange County ESD2 responded to a report a garage fire around 10 p.m. Friday night in the 300 block of Widgeon Drive in the Water wood Estates off State Highway 62.
The initial call reported a garage to be on fire and upon arrival of firefighters they found the garage to be on fire.
Firefighters were quickly to extinguish the fire, and it appeared that the fire reignited and spread quickly to the other parts of the home causing the entire structure to go up in flames.
Firefighters worked hard on extinguishing the blaze for several hours.
OCESD 2 was assisted by Orange, West Orange, Pinehurst, and OCESD 4 Fire Departments.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is unknown.
