HUNTSVILLE — Bridge City senior Max Baker punched in a State Track ticket by placing second in the long jump at the Class 4A Region III Track Championships Thursday at Sam Houston State.

Baker, who has had a tremendous season in the long jump, put together his best performance of the season by going 23 feet as he missed first-place by just a quarter of an inch.
