David Crim of Orange, left, praises Dr. Sam Showalter, center, a Nederland dentist, as his wife, Gayle Showalter, a Beaumont counselor, assists her husband with his visual presentation of his National Geographic Expedition to the iceberg-covered and penguin-inhabited continent at the Golden K Kiwanis Wednesday meeting. The hour long visual was filled with colorful and picturesque slides all made by Showalter. Showalter also shared stories about the National Geographic photographers and editors with whom he became friends on his three week trip in November 2017.
