Bradley, Bobcats fend off Longhorns, 38-32

FANNETT — In a game that featured bruising rushing attacks, it was the Orangefield Bobcats that held on to defeat the Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns 38-32 in a crucial District 12-4A Division II win on the road for the Bobcats.
Orangefield (2-3, 1-1) received a huge effort from fullback Blake Bradley.
Bradley zipped through the Longhorns (2-6, 0-3) for 209 yards and three touchdowns on 21 carries.
The Bobcat win offset a huge performance from Longhorn back Tyrese White, who bolted for 213 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries and he caught two passes for 40 yards.
The Bobcats rolled up 466 yards of total offense, 439 via their ground arsenal while picking up 24 first downs. The Longhorns finished with 411 yards, 315 of it on the ground.
The Bobcats led 38-20 going to the fourth quarter and were able to hold back the Longhorns late.
White got the Longhorns off on the right foot when he scooted 75 yards for the score on the game’s first series as H-F led 7-0 13 seconds in.
The Bobcats then put together a 11-play, 66-yard scoring march. Zach Dischler, who had 85 yards on nine carries, sparked the march with a couple big runs. Three plays later, Dischler scored from seven yards out to make it 7-7.
Orangefield went up 14-7 after a nice 10-play, 63-yard march. Bradley had 30 yards on the drive, including a seven-yard touchdown run.
The Bobcat ground game continued to chew up yardage as they went up 21-7 in the second quarter with a 10-play, 58-yard drive. Bradley capped it with a five-yard touchdown blast.
The Longhorns trimmed it to 21-14 by going 69 yards in eight plays. Quarterback Marcus Morris found Tiller Paine with a 38-yard touchdown pass.
The Bobcats received a 28-yard field goal from standout kicker Jacob Rainey with 0:56 in the half to make it 24-14.
The Longhorns trimmed it to 24-20 early in the third when Paine scored from nine yards out.
Bradley would burst the Longhorns’ bubble though when he muscled his way to a 46-yard touchdown run to up the lead to 31-20.
The Bobcats went up 38-20 late in the third when speedy Quy Tsan scored on a 17-yard gallop.
White pulled the Longhorns to within 38-26 in the fourth with a swift 22-yard touchdown scamper.
Morris made it a 38-32 game when he was able to score on a one-yard keeper. Morris completed 5-of-11 passes for 96 yards and rushed for 63 yards on nine totes.
The Bobcats will look to continue their winning ways next week when they welcome in Hardin-Jefferson. H-J fell to Liberty 52-38 Friday night.
